OK.
I have a 30USG (ish) tall, with pea gravel, plenty of planting, wood and DIY CO2.
PH is hovering around the 7.4 / 7.5 mark.
I have already got a pair of Apisto's in the tank and have been trying to get the PH down to around 7 which is more like their wild environment.
So!. The question is how best to do this.

Increase Co2?
Filter water through Peat?
Add Chems (not the way I prefer to go).

Does anyone have any guidance to share.
The Peat sounds the best option, and I was wondering about the Eheim Torf Pellets (are they any good?), or should I just put a stocking full of peat in my change bucket and leave overnight being topping off the tank, or should I put some in my filter.

Not sure if this fits best in planted or New World Cichlid section, but thought I would give you guys first stab..

Thanks :good:

Hi,

To be honest, I never worry to much about pH. Is the fish happy, feeding?
If so, you've cracked it :hyper:

If you have plenty of plants they will benefit from CO2 and that, in turn, will lower CO2
