i noticed my pair of red heads fighing and cleaning substrate out last night be4 i went to bed. woke up this morning to find the parents garding at least 500 eggs, which im over joy at. the only problem is ive not realy prepaired for this so any hints and tip on raising the fry. they are also in my 6foot tank full of tinfoils, silver arow, sailfin plec, snake skin gourami i dont know how long the eggs will last net alone the fry. should i move the bog wood into another empty tank without the pairents as the pairents are way too big for my only empty tank.
pics come soon
Thanks in advance

You could try taking the eggs out only, use the tank water, fill up another tank and put an air bubble diffuser next to the eggs.Or put a small divider in the tank :good:

I would personally take the batch out and raise them yourself. You really don't need a tank for the firts bit, just a bucket and a spondge filter will do. Do take the wood with the eggs out without the parents. Try getting a brine shrimp hatchery along with some other small live foods for the new borns, you can also try liqi-fry food. Good Luck!

Forgot to mention,

Once there wigglers try to get some homes lined up for them, because you can't keep 500 babies!

yer thanks alot un fortuanatly there were rubbish parents as it was there first time yeh i have a home for them i realised 500 small fry which grows up 2 massive parents would be a bit hard to get rid of

Personally, i would be more worried about the other fish in the tank than the fry and eggs. Redheads and Vieja sp. are very good parents.
You will need to cull the fry, from a brood of 500, ecpect to raise 20 or so because its better for the fish to raise them with the best care on a few individuals, plus as you said they may be hard to get rid of.
How big are your adults?
