Red Wag Tail Platys 1 Has White Furry Spots On It?

i have 3 platys red wag tails i think red,black tail,fins, anyway i got given a female the other day, same type excatly same as my other 3.. the new 1 has got a white furry spot on its head, under mouth, and 1 side of gills, will it spread, shud i dispose of it kindly as possible newbie

Probably ich. Put it in it's own tank if possible and raise the temp to 80F. Add some salt too if you want. Do you have a picture?

If it's ich, don't separate as ich also lives in the substrate when not feeding on fish, you will need to treat the whole tank.

However without any more info it's hard to tell what it is
