Red Wag Platy - Is She Preggas?

Managed to get a few decent pics of my red wag platy that is pregnant (well I presume she is)

How long til I can expect fry?

She has boxed off. I would go with any day. I would seperate her into her own tank or a breeding trap now.

Within the week, try her in a trap for 48 hours maximum, if not drop let her out of trap for a day (keep eye on her) watch for her...

Dwelling near the bottom..
Hanging around the heater..
Hanging around over or near plants..
Hanging around near internal filyer (if you have one)
or simply just acting like she is mobid, then put her bk in trap..

she's not 100% boxed off, wags are well known to hold the largest number of fry in drops, dont ask me why they just do so i would say 3 days time by the looks of it

If you wish to save the fry, they have breeder nets to salvage the fry in the tank.

Nice looking fish - you'll get a lot of fry out of her. Wagtails and yellows are the most prolific breeders in my experience.

Give her a try in the trap for one night, she may drop them, if not then release her the following day and maybe try again the day after..
