Hi there,

I bought two 1-inch Red Tiger Oscars about 6 weeks ago. (Now they are about 2.5 inches long) I put them with a couple of Red Devils about the same size. They were ok at the beginning. However I started to notice that Red Devils picked on them recently.

With advise from my LFS, I moved them to my other tank with a bunch of Silver Dollars. Only after few hours, I could see both oscars harassing the Silver Dollars.

So I moved them again, now only the two of them in the tank. Those two (say Charlie & Coco) used to be very active and lively, but now only Charlie swims around. Coco always hides behind a rock or inside the wrecked ship. Everytime Coco comes out, Charlie would chase and corner Coco straight away.

So... What do I have to do now??? I'm running out of tanks to move them into.
Any advise would be really appreciated.

Cheers... :byebye:

how big is ur tank, im not an expert but i know that oscars can be pretty aggresive so maybe coco and potato dont have enough space to feel save, add more decor and try to find a bigger tank.

I have three ocsars in my 180 gallon and they do fine. I hate that red devil that I have and it is still growing. I dont know where I am going to put him next I guess one of my 55 gallon tanks. He wont stop moving the rocks around, He acts like a minor icking rocks..

if the silver dollars are a similar size to the o´s i would just keep them with the silver dollars. I keep my two o´s (11 in and 9 inch) with some silver dollars and a pleco in a 150 gal tank and the oscars soon learnt that the silver dollars were tuff and hard to catch so they don't bother anymore.
You just need a big tank for oscars, especially if you want any other fish.
How big is yours?, no offence if its big enough.
