hi . rtb lost all it`s colour , gone almost grey with see through tale , is pantings all the time , and hiding , all other fish fine no problems with water all tests show water in a1 condition , all help gratefully blah blah

It is the only RTB in there isnt it?

What were the exact water test results out of interest? As always, your idea of A1 conditions might not correlate with ours :good: heh

What other fish are present and how long have you had them and the RTB?

hi sorry for being brief ,ph 7 , amonia 0 , nitrate 0 , nitrite 0 , temp 80 , 90 gallon tank , 2227 ehiem wet and dry filter , other fish include 20 young harlequin tetras , 12 neon tetras ,12 tiger barbs , 3inch royal plec , 3inch scribble plec , 6 bandit corrys , 6 khoolies , 3 banjo catfish and my rtb , had all fish for a couple off years except the tetras which i got about a month ago , 1/3 water change weekly

Is the fish flicking and rubbing on things, it could be bacterial to parasites, any laboured breathing, does it look like the fish has excess mucas on it body.
Also check the gills to see if they look pale with excess mucas on them, or inflamed and swollen.

Ok, what do you think it is as a salt bath won't cure it completely, also some other fish in the tank could be infected.
