Red snail stuff

So I was looking at my gold mystery snail and noticed by his flesh this little red kinda sprinkle looking stuff and so I did my best to gently clear some of it off is this red stuff bad for him?

A photo would be nice. Kinda hard to give any advice based on the info you provided.

I think it may have been his feces, poop from snails and fish vary in color lol I wouldn't mess with it though with your hands, snails are VERY delicate and have many nerves in there body.
Also a picture would help tremendously

Ah I think your right he has been eating red fish flakes lately and I cant really post a picture at the moment but I think your right.
