Red Platys

i have to red platys-had them for about a week and just wanted to know if they are male or female-how do i tell?
they both look exactly the same......

Hey rachellouise

with the platys look at their bottom fin, the females will be very triangular, whilst a males almost looks like it has been ripped. my explanation might not be the best, but this pic should help
