I am considering getting one of these guys as I love their comical expression!
Just wondered if anyone on here has any experience of keeping these and knew anywhere that might stock them?
I have a 61/2ft x 2ft x 2ft, would this be big enough, I believe these dont grow quite as large as regular giant gourami's, is this true?
Thanks a lot!

Yes, you are right - they don't get quite as large as Osphronemus goramy - but Osphronemus laticlavius still grows to 20" so is a very big fish. But your tank is just under 200 gallons so I would say it's large enough for one of them :). The only real thing to keep in mind is that they can be aggressive when young but grow out of it - so they can't be housed with overly territorial fish while young and should be with large (so they can't be swallowed) but non-aggressive fish when mature. Medium-sized predatory oddball-type fish usual work well.
