last night my dwarf gourami died for no reason! Wel,, he has been a bully but recently bought tetra congos and they have been bullying the gourami! He was feeding well but looked like he had been through 10 rounds of boxing! last night, i was waching him and looked like he was having a fit or something and suddenly died! Should I be worried about the health of my other fish? Thanks

Yes, if it's the tank in your signature, because common plecs need a larger tank than what is probably a 24 gallon.

But no - you don't need to be worried because of the dwarf's death having any connection to your other fish's health. Dwarfs are fragile fish, often carriers of disease, and commonly drop dead for no reason. Keeping the tetras in with him may not have helped as they stressed him but it is unlikely that he died as a direct result of their bullying - he was probably ill already. Having said that, his tankmates shouldn't have contracted whatever he had - so your only worry is that the tetras will now move on to bullying other fish (the guppies being a likely target).

Thanks for that, I have done a water change just in case! I now have my fish in a 170 liter juwel (not too sure how many gallons this is)!

About 42 gallons - still too small for an (adult) common plec BTW.
