Red Devil - Good Tank Mates

i wouldn't keep 2 red devils and 2 jd's together. this smells like a disaster waiting to happen.

You might get away with two cichlids if the red devil is not too agressive and neither is the other cichid, but def not 4. your tank will become a bloodbath

You could try a Tilapia Butterkoferii in there but you will have to closely monitor the situation - T.Bs are far more aggressive than RDs.

yeah I wouldn't even think about adding a budda to the mix they are just plain nasty. there are very few new worlds that match their agressivness.

Stunning fish though T.Bs don't you think? Got a 8-9" male in my cichlid communtiy, OK with Mbuna but gets a bit angry when large Central American cichlids go in there.

What do you have in your community tank? And what size tank is it?

4-4.5foot. Mbuna, Central Americans (Bree terror, Midas breeding pair, Fliers, Jags etc.) a Siamese Tigerfish, Diomond shark and sucking loach

You have all those fish in a 4 foot tank? How do you manage that? Do you have any pics?
