Hey guys,

I think i have some sort of algae growing on my fake plant that is made of silk. I've been looking through sites and been trying to find out how to tell which algae i have growing on it. The alge atm is only growing on the top of the plant where their is alot of light. The pearl i have in there seems like it always tries to eat it off. My pH is around 7.5+. I have malaysian drift wood in there and is turning the water yellow. I donno if that is affected to which algae it is. Tank is only about 2 months old.

My fake plant is green so the colour of the algae is like brownish red?

IF this is enough information to tell me what aglae it is, that would be great.

Thanks

it's not that it will damage anything (except block light to live plant) it is taht it will eventually overrun your tank and look a mess.
