I got myself a Clear Seal Tank 36x15x12 for FREE (yippee :D) a few days ago but it didn't come with a stand nor a lid, but other than that the tank is prefect. I was wondering if anyone knew of a good strong stand I could buy online for it. I need to save my pennies so I don't want anything too pricey - as I need to invest in a lid, heater and new filter as yet - but it must be reliable.

What are the best stands/makes, etc.?

Any help or suggestions most gratefully received! :)

I plan to set up the second tank and move a few of my corys from my current tank over (the Corydoras Trilineatus), along with the rasboras, once the tank is cycled, and add to their numbers. I want to bump the 4 Trilineatus up to eight for starters, as unlike my other cory they are timid and I feel I need to get them into a bigger group for their well being. And have a group of 20 rasboras (as they are so cute and would really like to add to my current six). Then with my current tank, which has my hoplos in, add more catfish (thinking of a group of upside downs and a pleco) in the coming weeks.

Try and find a second hand steel stand The small privately owned pet store near me always has em for like 20-30 bucks used.

bricks, wood and a table cloth. source some bricks from somewhere, a few planks of wood and a table cloth. if done right it actually works really well. if you can get quite a bit of the same wood you could also make your own lid. i got given a 2foot tank for free did above and it looks fine. altho i since used the bricks and put the tank on an old stereo stand.

You can also look for a sturdy dresser @ a goodwill store. My 50 gallon was sitting on a 5ft dresser for over a year until I upgraded to a 125gallon and needed to get an actual aquarium stand. Try to get some friends heavy enough to stand on it to see if its sturdy, thats what we did

Your new tank is around 30 gallons. I got a stand for my 20gallon from Goodwill for $5
