Well, my little girl Tortuga hasn't eaten (that I've seen) in maybe a week. Her belly's sunken and she's a bit more reclusive than she normally is.

I more or less came to the conclusion that it's internal parasites of some kind.
I can't go myself, but my dad's going to go down to Pet Supply tomorrow and hopefully pick up something that might help her.

I'd very, very much like to save her if at all possible, but I'm having alot of trouble finding recommendations for internal parasite medication/antibiotics ...?

I need something that's going to be effective, but also something that's likely going to be available at Pet Supply/my local LFS.
I heard 'Maracyn-Two' was good for this kind of thing, but then I can upon an online cart of effective medication for various uses, and Maracyn-Two didn't have a check next to 'internal parasites'.

I'm feeling kind of lost and don't know what to tell my dad to look for.
Anyone have any advice?

if you're in the UK then send Wilder a PM. She is good with medications that are available :)

Aw, yeah, unfortunately I'm a US resident. =(

possibly PM Tolak, I'm pretty sure he is in the US. He also breeds angelfish and has a lot of info about internal problems in them.

Thank you. I sent him/her a PM.

If anyone else has any advice, that'd be greatly appreciated as well.

You are going to need something with metronidazole in it. Hex_A_Mit is a common one, any store that carries Prime can order the Seachem variety of metro.

Dose at 40mg/gallon, with a daily water change & remed. You will want to do this in a quar tank, as you will want the water warmer, at least 85F, closer to 90F if possible. Don't forget to increase aeration, as warmer water holds less O2.

After a few days sprinkle a little on some frozen brine shrimp, it seems once the fish even begin to mouth the food it gets right to the problem.

Continue for 10-14 days.
