One of my ten platys was in a corner yesterday with her back fin clenched and hardly moving and white feces hanging from it's rectum, this morning she was dead. The rest of the fish (platys and others) seem fine, no signs of sickness except for one other platy that looks fine but hangs out most of the time by itself in the upper corner behind the pump, im not sure if its sick or just liking that spot...
I know that white feces usually mean internal parasites such as hex (at least thats the case with discus), I wonder if this is a common disease for platys, and would it be contagious to the other fish? and should i be medicating or is there anything i should be doing?
P.s. Ammonia and nitrites are 0 in the tank, and i do two 20% water changes a week at least using aged, aerated and dechlorinated water just to make sure i have good quality water all the time. (got used to that from the discus days)
