) , although someday i would love to do it on the side.
it's a Panasonic FZ1, no tripod on any of those shots, but i do have a tripod and a mini tripod I use sometimes. I use a Hoya UV Filter all of the time (that's really what creates the flares for the most part) and sometimes a Hoya Circular Polarizer lens filter (the camera takes standard 55mm lens filters with an adapter):

for everyones information most of the pictures were taken with a Panasonic DMC-FZ1 (only 2mp but 12x optical zoom - don't be fooled by the megapixel war people! see review at:
Steve's Digicam if you're interested)....the rest were taken with my little handy-dandy Canon SD-100
the canon was my first digicam and i still use it mostly for family photos and the likes because i can print fairly large pictures....everything else i use my panasonic for - you really can't beat 12x zoom with a Lumix Leica lens - it just adds so much fun to picture taking when you don't have to be a few feet away from the subject...i happened to stumble across the FZ1 being sold by Staples for $180 and it is by far the best purchase I have made in my digicam life and would recommend it to ANYONE...they sell a 4mp version (FZ10 i believe) for quite a bit more...however, IMO it is a good stepping stone before stepping up to a digital SLR of some sort
