2 new female guppies i bought last week only survived 4 days - poor QT'ing from my LFS i must admit.

Anyway, i've ordered Sera Nematol and Anti-Internal Bacteria to treat the original occupants (danios and cherry shrimp) - just wondering if it's worth it?

I isolated the late guppies as soon as i saw the worms protruding (couldn't treat them as had no meds), what are the odds of the rest of my inhabitants contracting the worms? Will the shrimp survive a treatment?

Thanks!

I think the med might kill the shrimp.
You could always issolate the shrimp for 6 weeks.

Or you could just dose the whole tank instead.
It's best to worm all fish anyway.
Once a fish has been in a tank with camallanous worms best to treat the whole tank.
A fish sucking another fish poo up can also get infected by just doing that.

For anyone unsure of how camallanus represents, here's a picture i got of my guppy female before she died.

Bless her.
R.I.P.

Do you mind if I save the pic.

By all means. If it helps others identify the condition and save theirs then some good's come of it!

Thank you.
Thanks for being considerate and thinking of other fish keepers.
