I just need reassurance. I feel so bad.
I'm crying, I was cleaning out my bin and noticed a kuhli loach dead at the bottom.
It must've happened when I took out one of their plants, he was probably hiding in it.
I put my plant in the bin temporarily to put in another tank, when I saw him he had a hole in him.

I just feel so bad. He wasnt even half way through his life. 😭😭😭

Losses happen in this hobby. It's good to feel a bit bad about it because that feeling helps us not make the same mistakes again. But it isn't worth beating yourself up over. Sometimes fish die. Part of the hobby is accepting that, however grudgingly.

I'm so sorry for your loss...
We've all made a mistake or two and sometimes those mistakes do cost the lives of living things. But it was done unintentionally...

Sorry for your loss....
I honestly don't think there are a lot of fishkeepers that never made a mistake that proved fatal to a fish, so try not to be too hard on yourself....

This suggests he was already dead when you took the plant out, the hole is very unlikely to have occurred in the bin.
Dead fish will often get snagged in plants, and a hole suggests a snail or another fish had already been scavenging. The loss is a loss, but it likely wasn't from the cause you feared.

I think I took the plant out to move into my other tank, the loach must've been hiding in the plant. I think I may have crushed him with a pot by accident, which would've caused the hole. He seemed very much alive before

I mean, he seemed very much alive before... he was only about 4 or 5
