Ok my question is, is there any fish, or invertabrate (like shrimp or something) that cleans the tank floor by eating food and whatever PLUS...poop? i want something that eats the fish poop, i doubt there is a fish, but if there is, that would be freaking awesome! Please answer if you know!

Nope there are no fish that would eat anothers poop or invertebrate for that matter, buy a gravel vac or syphon to clean the poop off your substrate if you are having problems ;) .

This question always gets to me.

Some fish MIGHT eat other fish's poop. For example, goldfish have very inefficient digestive systems... so loaches or other fish might eat the goldfish's poop.

The thing you have to realize is that the fish who eats the other fish's poop will digest and then POOP. It WILL NOT eat its own poop again. So, in the end, you STILL have to clean the tank. Period.

Bacteria is pretty much the only true copraphage that you can have in your tank, that's what filters are for. They provide somewhere for the bacteria to live.

I second that, just clean the tank ;)

i have a python and stuff, it isnt that i dont want to clean, i actually like cleaning, because it maked me happy to know the fish are healthier, i just thought it would be cool for a little helper :) On sand, poop shows up really well, and i have sand, that is why :)

you can try some Cory Cats they do not eat the poo but they are diggers and on a sandy substrate they dig all the time. When they dig they stir the sand (which is also a good thing with a sandy substrate it releases all the nasty gas build up in the sand) when stirring up the sand the poo gets mixed with the sand.
if you have live plants they really love it because it enriches your substrate a little.

I also have sand as substrate in both my aquariums and the worst thing is within a day after cleaning you have poo floating around and on white riversand it's impossible to miss so the tank looks dirty even though it was cleaned yesterday.
I have panda cories, sterba cories and schwarz's cories.
