OK, I'm sure this is a really silly question, but here goes :p I have my eyes on a 60" tank but all I can find are light bars in lengths up to 48". Do I buy 2 30" light strips and just put them on next to each other? This is a very odd shaped tank (60" x 12" x 18"tall) and I'm not quite sure what to do with it if I get it (setup wise, I've got tons of ideas stocking wise!).

Thanks!

I probably would just go with a 48" bulb fixture. I know that 30" tfixtures often only have 24" bulbs in them, so a few inches on the ends without a light right overhead would probalby not be noticable. Maybe you can even get 2 48" fixtures and stagger them, so one starts all the way to the right, one all the way to the left?

That might work. I'll have to look at the picture again and see how it goes. I am assuming that there's a center bar to rest the light on. I can't imagine that I'll find a hood or canopy that's built for that size tank, so I may have to get creative :p

OK, it looks like there are 2 cross braces that I could rest a hood/light strip/whatever on. I'm thinking that with the relatively thin depth that it would make an awesome foyer tank.

Oh holy cow, I just did my math wrong! This is a 6ft aquarium, so 72" long! I saw the 6ft and for some inane reason just thought 60". I know better!

So, 72" x 12" x 18" tall. Would make a stunning angel or discus show tank ;)

ETA - It's on ebay, here's the listing if anyone wants to see it: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...p;rd=1&rd=1
