Really Sick Fish

I recently bought 3 platys from petco (i know i know never again) anyway they turned out to have ick and now so do the rest of my fish so I went to the LFS and bought everything they had to treat it although they had nothing spicificly to treat ick. so the products i got are
1) Anti-Parasite medicated fish food by Jungle, says its for internal parasites
2)Anti-Bacteria medicated fish food by Jungle, says its for internal and external bacterial infections
3)Ultra Cure BX by gel tek says treats internal and external bacterial infections
4)Ultra Cure PX by gel tek says it treats internal parasites
and i also have melafix by api.
I also have about 12 guppy fry and a few of them have white slimy cotton like growth on their heads aroung their mouths what is this?
problem is i dont know what to use to treat the ick any advice is apprecated.

You need to fine an ICH medication. Sorry. Read my signature for a good site for treatment. Can you get a picture of your guppies? We also need all the stats. Size of tank,age of tank, tankmates, water stats on ammonia, nitrite, pH and nitrate. What is your maintenance routine? etc. See top of page for listing procedure.

That's a bit strange that the LFS didn't have anything to treat whitespot disease as it's such a common one! Maybe they sold out?

Unfortunately, those meds you bought are not for treating whitespot. If you can't get hold of any whitespot meds (try online - some do next day delivery) there is a way of doing it by the increased temp method (I've never tried this but apparently it does work in some cases, providing your fish can withstand the higher level of temp).
