Real Quick, Please Help

Can I have my DIY co2 bottle below the tank in the stand and run a tube up into my tank. As far as I see it, it will just take longer to pressurize and start producing co2, am I correct?

btw, I'm running a check valve.

The only problem I see with that is that the water may siphon back into the container but since you have a check valve that shouldn't be a problem. Other than that the CO2 will eventually reach the aquarium so I guess the best advise I can give is to remember that Patience is a virtue lol. Best of luck to you!
