Hmm the bigger of my two cichlids i bought is floating at the top on his side still breathing but barely. I think they must have attacked him =[

Hmmm well so far hes not dead but he aint right either i have him quarantined to see what happens right now hes just floating on the top of the water gaping occaisonally and trying to swim occaisionally. =[

The other one is doing great fitting in nicely. Strange. the injured one is hiding in a tight lil crevasse between two rocks. Hopefully it'll pull out of it. =]

sorry to hear this, just for precaution have you tested water quality? What other tank mates are in it and how big is the tank?

Can you bring him back to the fish store if he dies. I hope you got him at petsmart you get a 14 day garrenty on any fish. Hope the little chiclid pulls though. Hope for the best. And I will pray for him so think happy thoughts

All water levels are good ( nitrite 0 ammonia0 )

there were five other mbuna and a pleco

its a 40 gallon. i added two fish today. Havent even got around to figuring out what type of mbuna they are. (came from the same tank as all my fish have) He seems to look EVER SO SLIGHTLY different like hes from a different lake the rest are malawi for sure. he seems more narrow nad his head more rounded soon as i charge my batteries ill try to take a picture. The other (the smaller of the two new fish i bought today) is getting along great and the other fish have no issues with him. I have turned the light off for now (3 hours earlier than i normally would) so they can forget about the new guy and he can try and have some peace. I have 48 hours to return him =]
