Right so I'm getting bored of my current scape in my tank, and the dwarf hairgrass seems to be dying off, so I'm looking to totally change it around.

I'm not all that great at keeping plants, and don't have much knowledge about them.

Basically what I would like is to have my piece of marsh root up one corner, and then have plants surrounding it and making it look like it's overgrown etc and then same in the other corner or in the middle with the my three pieces of slate which I will make into a cave.

Only problem with having the cave in the other corner is my intake pipe for my external filter, wouldn't that get covered up with dead leaves etc?

But anyways, which plants would be suitable?

I currently have an Anubias Nana in good condition and some Hemianthus Callitrichoides, but that could be in better condition, and I'm unsure if I'll be able to replant, but if I can I will.

So yeah sorry for lack of info but hopefully you can help me out a bit.

Oh I have no CO2, I use Flourish or Flourish Excel, and I have one T5 tube.

It all depends on what you wanna go for really. Hairgrass does better when you have a plant substrate or root tabs. What is your current lighting? What's the size of your tank?

My current lighting is one T5 tube, the size of my tank is 70cm x 35cm x 40cm (27.5 inches x 13.7 inches x 15.7 inches)

do you have a pic / photo of your current setup we can look at?

I can get one although it looks terrible.

This is how I'd like mine: http://www.blueaquarium.org/wp-content/uploads/2009/april/Gallery_of_Inspiration/Gallery_of_Inspiration_4.jpg

But without the carpet and with tall background plants at the back of the corners :)

thats beautiful  do you have some redmoor or sumatra wood?

I take it you've heard of Takashi Amano? If not just stick his name in Google Images search :good:

Good site here

Try skeching a few designs before going for it too. I did a small rescape recently in a 125 litre and trust me even that was hard work!

I have a piece of Marsh Root and 3 pieces of slate. I've got a picture just need to upload it.
