Well This was an oscar tank befor, then i re-did it, ordered drift wood, got plants from a smaller tank and started fresh..

Here is a befor tank, no drift wood and some smaller plants..

The current stock is

1 L002 Plec
11 Tiger Barbs..

I plan on hevaily planting it, c02 and making it a barb community type of thing.

any comments, or critisism is very welcome, or some different ideas about stock. This tank is roughly 60-65 gallons

Thanks

Josh

Looks good. Are those live plants? If so, how big do they get. I bet it will look good when they start growing.

I think it was great idea. Heavily planted and barb community sounds excellent!

thanks for the comments...

any suggestions on background plants, something tal like val.... but more interesting?

Thanks

You could go for a twisted vallis? Cambomba? Ludwigia or another tall quick growing plant. It will spread quickly along the back if you prune it and given weekly maintanence it will look good.

Some others you may want to look up are.... bacopa, proserpinaca pectinata, Crinium.

Stick to the crypts and anubias in the forground and you can't go wrong.

thanks bunji, i will look into those plants, i checked out a couple, and i like them.

I just ordered some anubias nana from the LFS

Any suggestions on maybe some other bigger fish that wil be fine with barbs or should i stick with it?

Thanks

Josh

I personally think a school of rainbows would go excellent with barbs. Either the New Guinea or Boesmani, or maybe the dwarf Heavenly Blues.
