Hi,
I want to clean out my tank from scratch but unsure how to go about it?
It's a fairly large (60g) tropical thats been in place for 2 years with no major problems.
I really want to empty it out and clean properly as the substrate is getting very mucky and the tank in general is not looking as nice as I want it to (ongoing war with Algae). I've tried numerous cleaning methods and products with no great success so it's time for drastic measures.
What's the best method for doing this causing the minimum amount of stress to the fish who all seem very healthy and active?
I want to replace the substrate completely and do a major replanting.
There's a fair few fish in there - 1 (psychotic) Angel, 6 mollys, 5 glass fish, 2 catfish, 5 loaches, shoal of red eyed tetras amongst others.
I don't have another tank large enough to transfer to and obviously don't want to completely destroy the eco-system.
Is this even feasible?
Thanks for any help
