Re-cycle Tank

Hi

Ive had my aquarium about 6 months now and it gets dirty quickly and I dont think ive cycled it since ive had it proper about a over a week ago I striped it and cleaned it part from the filter media. Ive added tetra easybalance last wensday and did a 25% water change saturday and today. should I carry on with water changes to cycle? Im confussed what to do because the tanks already stocked and I feel ive made a a right mess

At the moment im leeting the tank settle with the fish and planning on planting it sometime this week and gettin rid of my plastic plants.

So any help would be great as all seem to be doiing is scrapein up algae and fish poo off everything every 2-3 weeks! im determind to get this tank working!

well, so long as you didn't clean your old filter and are still using it, your cycle should've been instant ^^ but if you did, well then just hope for the best...

I hope so! should I carry on with the water changes every few days if so how long? and should I ditch using tetra easybalance? as ive only used it once and planning on planting using fertalizer and a co2 kit

i'm not sure why you think your cycling?

what are your water stats for pH, ammonia, nitrite and nitrate?
