Tomorrow I want to reaquascape my tank. Do I need to take out my fish or wil they be okay in there? Just move the driftwood and put some plants in different places, also I might want to add some sand over the substrate, do I need to take them out then???

If your just removing the wood and adding plants you could probably keep the fishin there (unless there piranas  ) but as for adding sand over the substrate, I wouldnt, from what Ive read round here and other places you should remove your current substrate first then add sand, for which you definetly need to remove you fishy friends

Yep, if you put sand in, you will only want sand in the tank, and you should definitely take your fishies out while you put it in.
It can take quite a while to settle down, too.
That's why I decided against it, cuz i'm very impatient!
