Just wanted to ask a few questions about my RCC
Following the loss of one of my RCC and some great help from others here
I am going to change my tank to a brackish inhabitant as this is seems best for them. I've ordered some marine salt and a hydrometer but can I have some advice how much salt I should add to the tank, do I introduce it gradually to get it to the amount required or do I just add it straight away to the amount required?
I've not seen a hydrometer before so assume it will have the readings on it? and I believe I have to get the water to between 1.020-1.025?? (whatever that is???) Is this fairly foolproof?
How often should I then be changing the water? and once new water has been added should I just add a little more salt directly to the tank or mix it seperately to ensure it is at the required amount? Is to much salt harmful?
Also, I have read somewhere (and can't find it again for looking!) that RCC like veg?? cucumber, peas...is this right and is there anything else veggie they like? I feed muscles, bloodworms, algae tablets and crab cruisine at the moment but would like to offer some of these veggies if it is safe to do so....
Thanks in advance
