Ratz Calcium Reactor

Humm, do you speak german?

By looking at it, I can tell that the CO2 line will connect to that end of the T fitting near the pump inlet. And that red-handled valve on top is the effluent of the reactor.

Unfortunatly i don't.. Maybe google language translator could help

There are two inlets yep, one im guessing is for co2, and the other im guessing the water inlet? thats also very small...

As i don`t have a co2 canister.. am i able to release co2 into the water by diy`n co2, this then eventually reacting and just shut off one of the t-pieces. Im guessing this would have to sit in a sump also?

I bought this thing without really looking into it.. Just looked nice at the time..lol

thanks for the website, i couldn`t find it..

whoo hoo there are country icons at the top of the page!! i don`t need a translator tool!

Lol, that's good :). I would NOT try to operate a calcium reactor with a DIY CO2 method using yeast. A calcium reactor needs to have a constant balance of CO2 injection and effluent out to be effective. Too much CO2 and you'll crash the pH of your tank, too little and you'll have wild swings in alkalinity concentration leading to very sick corals and invertebrates.

Yeah i didn`think about that. once you buy a co2 cannister can these be refilled?

Absoloutely. A larger bottle (say 20lbs) can last you months and only cost maybe $10-$15 for a refill.
