I have found a TMC V2 Skim 1200 in my LFS at a reasonable price.

could you please tell me if it is a good skimmer, and what a good price is for it?

Thanks.

yeh i use the same skimmer it is fantastic never had any problems with any of my tmc skimmer and i got my 1200 for £130

what is your lfs giving it for £££

regards scott

Lots of my mates have had issues with the motors on the TMC's. Lots on here like them but I will never buy one personally

How big is your tank - that's one big boy

Trod has one for sale, she does have a pump with it but she thinks it is noisy (she changed from the stock pump) and then after seeing my mce 600 she wanted one  so althought she bought it second hand, she has not used it, so it is still second hand, oh you know what i mean

She is not very well at the moment, but if you are interested let me know - sure she would sell it with the pump or without, oh just thought, you will have to buy the tubing, any good lfs sells it :good:

Probably save you a fair few pennies...................

It is at a reduced price of £79.99

There were smaller ones but I thought this was cheap for the size. I didn't look at the prices on the others

how big is your tank and what is your stocking levels? Might be too big!! Now I know some people subscribe to the idea that a skimmer can never be too big but i also know there are lots of people who disagree. Would also look rather ugly sitting on a 55 gallon etc.

It's new. I was thinking about buying it and sticking it on eBay, as it is too big for my tank (still haven't converted to marine yet!) my tank is 125L (lol)

i would not go for to big of a skimmer i would go for a v2 400 skimmer it is a bit big but if you choose your mind to upgrade then it is a good idea to go for one

the idea was to buy this and sell it on eBay, then get one which is a better size for my tank

make some £££
then spend some £££
