if someone know thank you :dunno:

Are you sure this is a platy and not a dalmation molly? could be a rare colour type as i've never seen grey platies.

Uhm, a blue spotted platy comes to mind (the blue can sometimes be grey-ish).

Edit -- There's a picture of one on this page (sorry the site isn't in English haha)

I'm sure its a platy the guy at the lfs said he was hes grayish-white
with little black spotts hes been bye himself for a year and i got 2 females for

i had a bright orange platy that had spots so there is nothing wrong with that! Platies are always different colors dependin on what type of fish the mom breed with!

Thansk!

My best guess is that they are just really light blue platys, i myself have never seen solid grey on platys, but i guess that doesn't mean there couldn't be grey platys. If you guys could get us some pictures that would be excellent.

i have a couple of grey platys with orange tails, are they sposed to be rare because my lfs always have them.

personally i think that they are just a blue platty. every blue platty that i have seen looks like a nice shiny/metalic gray/silver. spots are variations in the breeding lines and same with the orange. my lfs has them all the time also. they are pretty common, but whenever i see them in my lfs though i don't have either the mmoney, means of transporting or room for it DOH!!! :X

does it look like any of these???

remember that common names can vary from one person to another based off of what they know it as.

also... the colors canbe less of a prominant blue and more grayish in color. dcepends on if the fish is stressed and/or variation in color strands
