I have a pair of rams in my community tak.

They have laid eggs 5 times and successfully had fry twice.

However, with all the other tankmates. Fry is are just not making it, even though they try veery hard at defending them.

I was thinking of putting them in the !0 gallon by themselves.

What do you guys think?

I am afraid it may be too small, but by themselves they should be okay :dunno: :dunno: :dunno: :dunno: :dunno: :dunno: :dunno: :dunno:

no it wont work

they need a 20 gal or more  otherwise theyll get to aggresive for eachother, it has only worked in a few rare cases where it was done by pro breeders

So you are saying in tank that small, they will change behavior and attack eachother?

This pair are very prolific, but know if I can dedicate a tank larger than ten for them

Its worked for me in an 18 by 12 by 12 tank, but them again i remove them after a week or so.

You could give it a try and monitor them, if it doesnt work then move them back

Try it but put in a couple of cherry barbs with them as a distraction so they can take their aggression out on something quick enough to get away.
