You should be ok with a pair of rams and an Angel in a 30g.
I would go for the Bolivian Ram (M. Altispinosa ? I think)- they only grow to about 3-4 inches and will be fine in a tank of that size.
I have three in a mixed tank with an angel and they are fine - get on well together and get on fine with my Severum and Firemouth.

They are a lovely fish

there are a couple styles of 30 Gal aquariums. The taller the tank the better for the angles... Also being taller would separate your top/middle strata from your bottom strata better (Rams like bottom; Angles like mid/top) offering less of a chance/reason for nipping.

Not saying your set up won’t work or is bad… but just mentioning…
