Hi, are rams suitable for a community tank consisting of 6 guppies, 4 danios and 2 dwarf gouramies , if so what species of rams?
The tank is 95 litres and moderated planted
Thanks :D

Due to bad info from the LFS I will be returning one of the gouramis ,possibly both

If you do return them both you could possibly fit in a pair of bolivians but your tank is a little small for them. Don't get GBRs because they require much different requirements to your other fish.

I,ve got a pair of Bolivian Rams sharing an 80 ltr tank with a pair of sparkling gouramis and 6 celestial danios never had a bit of aggro from them, not the most colourful of rams but bags of attitude, I would go for it.

I took the one gourami back and kept ten dwarf rainbow, already the tank seems a lot more calmer and less stressful. The rainbow is a very friendly guy and doesn't pay attention to any of his tank mates. I traded the three-spot for some peppered corys.

Requirements such as?

they pretty much require the same parameters as discus and are perhaps less hardy

Yeah and they need high temps like 86* F

i wouldn't get rams if you had any female guppies. they'd search any fry right out and enjoy doing it.
