I have a 40g tall tank (3ftx2ftx1ft). Over time I lost most of my fish, and I was interested in restocking it.

Right now it has:
Severum (4ish inches)
Bolivian ram
serpae tetra
rummy nose tetra
2 aeneus cories
bnose

The only fish out of those that I want to keep are the ram, bnose and possibly cories. I was going to bring the sev back to the store, it has way too many issues, it never comes out, and when it does it flips out and splashes everywhere.

I'd like rams, dunno how many I could put in there though.

What smaller fish could I put in there also? I'd like ones that would hang around the top/middle, and maybe a few for the bottom. I like loaches, most are too big though.

I love the look of rasboros, glowlight tetras are neat looking too. Rams i think 1 males to 2 females so a lonely female wouldn't get hassled by male all the time and stress her out. There are probably alot more, but can't think right now, just trying to keep myself busy so I don't want a cigarette. Day 2 no smoking, actually 2 1/2 days.

Danios. Black widow tetras. Veil tail black widows look interesting too.

Good job with the not smoking. Day 3 is the big one. After that it starts getting easier. Stick with it smokey

I've always liked danios, I could get a school of longfins or something. What would a reasonable number be? 7ish?

Will 2 more rams work?

What can I do for a bottom feeder? I can't keep cories alive, only the 3 that I've had forever.
