Rams Bolivian And German Blue?

are there only those two types of rams or are there more because i love them and want billions :hyper:
Mikrogeophagus altispinosa (bolivian) and Mikrogeophagus ramirezi (blue) are the only two species in their genus. However, these two fish are closely related to the Apistogramma genus, which contains many different dwarf cichlid species. If you like rams, you'll almost certainly like apistos. Check out a. cacatuiodes "triple red"... amazing fish.

Here's a good place to start: http://www.apistogramma.com/cms/The_Galler...pecies_Gallery/

Gold, German Blue, and Dutch Blues are all line bred variants of Mikrogeophagus ramirezi. I don't know if what the difference is between the Dutch and German varieties are, if there is one. I was unable to find any information to that effect on the web. The Gold ones are a color variant bred in S.E. Asia, but are a very weak genetic strain. I would personally avoid them.

The only diff i found was the length in the fins thats all... Thought onemisterchristian ment he wanted to know different looks not breeds sorry :) tho the gold rams are hella nice lol
