Hey...I have a planted 40 gallon aquarium and wondered if 2 rams (bolivian etc) can go with 3 tigerbarbs, 1 angelfish, 1 small bn, 1 pearl gourami and a black ghostknife which suprisingly, after 2yrs, is somewhat stuck at 8 inches??? All my fish get along fine and i know theres alot of swimming space for them. I got the 6 tigerbarbs 4 yrs ago very small, 3 possibly died of old age recently and it has even lived happily with a temporary african butterfly fish, the angelfish and pear gourami despite the long fins each of these fish have. I mite show a pic of my current setup and the large amount of free space i currently have...
Thanks for any replies..

tiger barbs can be really nippy. but plenty of people have sucess with them, you know the temprement of your fish best, if you find them to be peaceful then yes they should be fine with rams, and with your fish at they're current size you have room for them in the tank. however the BGK should be in a larger tank, if it's stopped growing then it's probably stunted from being in a tank too small for it. this is very dangerous and could well lead to it's premature death

Thanks...i dont think the BGK got stunted in this tank as i assume because of just looking at the dimensions as compare to the fish...Dimensions are 36 inch long, 16 inch wide and 18 inch high. It might have however got stunted whilst tempoararily in a 15 gallon which i had previous to the 40 and when i bought him at 2-3 inches, kept the bgk there for a few months because of my limited knowledge at the time. Thanks again...
P.S. i mite consider transferring him if he manages to get over 10 inches...
