Would they work together in a 55 gallon? I have 2 males now and would like to get a breeding pair of kribs. Is it possible or is it a bad idea?

I've seen much worse ideas for a 55 g . :)

Is that the tank in your sig ?

Kribs would definitely get the upper ......fin :p , but it could work in a 4 footer , with plenty of cover , rocks , plants , caves [ retreats/hiding spots ].

As long as the Rams stay far enough away from , and don't linger near the kribs spawning site they should be fine .

yes the sig. is the tank. My worry is with the rams already and used to sharing this big space only to each other, will they learn to respect kribs invading there territory?

The kribs will demand respect ;) It would be more of a problem if you had the kribs already in there than the rams.

He's right , I wouldn't worry ..........Kribs will make them selves at home :) .

ok then I guess I will finally get some kribs. I am getting kind of excited about this. Any problems I should look out for? Also, how do you determine male/female with kribs?

Females may have a more plump appearance , males more slender , as well as red[ pink/purple ] in the stomach [ though not always reliable indicators ] and females are usually smaller.............a good shop owner [ worker ] should be able to pick you out a m/f pair .

Do some google searching for images as well as text , you should be able to get an idea what to look for .
