Rams and breeding

My larger Ram (the male i think) has been chasing my smaller one (female i think) around. He has only just started doing this. Does this mean he wants to mate or is he just playing?

Are you sure they are a pair?...Or could they possibly be 2 males?

No he isnt actually being aggressive, he just chases her around.

you can tell whats male and whats female what kind of rams are they! usually the female has a pink underbelly and the male has a white (well atleast for blue rams)

If they are blue rams the female has shorter and wider pelvic fins than the male which are more pointed.

My rams are a breeding pair, and I've witnessed this behavior quite a lot before. It usually stops after a day or two then I'll find eggs about a week later. Also once the eggs hatch my male will chase the female away, it's almost like he notices missing fry and blames her.
