i have a male and a female ram in my tank.

they keep facing each other like they are kissing, but almost like they are sqauring up to each other..... are they breeding? if not what is it?

Sounds like they like each other . That could be courting behaviour alright..

It depends on what are the "other fish" you have. If the rams are the 'badest' in town, they'll do fine. Rams (cichlids, in general) make good parents. Don't be too excited if you see their first batch of eggs. The couple will need several tries to be successful.
