Male blue ram?

Female blue ram?

I bought the female about a month ago. She has blue scales in the black spot on her side. Her colors are odd and her shape is seems odd too? Can anyone tell me why she looks so unlike my male? They are from different stores. Both are real active and eat well. The male seems to have dull scales on his spot, except around the edges. I've had him for a little over a week.

The first one is a German blue, the second looks more like a wild blue. They both look like young males to me. Females develop a cherry spot on their abdomen, even when thy are under an inch...
