I bought 2 Bolivian Rams from Pets @ home a few months ago and they were in a 48lt tank until i recently got my new 150 litre tank set up, now they are both in here and one of the rams seems to be picking on the other one. seems weird he chases him about from one end of the tank to the other, the one who is being chased seems to of kept the stripes he came with from the shop and the red in the ends of his tail where as the other seems to of lost most of the black but has kept the red. any ideas ?

they are only small ( i say small maybe 1.5"), any ideas on what i can about it? should i buy a female or 2 to distract him??

Males will have long rays, the first few, on the dorsal. Also they will be longer on the dorsal at the tail end , extending out sometimes to the length of the tail. If they are young you may not be able to see that yet. Have a lot of caves and hiding spots along the bottom of the tank. They aren't typically violent and are claiming territory in the new tank. Re-arranging decor and adding more comfort zones should fix it. Adding more may help but I would try that first.
