Ram Ich

Hey. Added 2 juve German Blue Rams to me 10G (just until the 40G is ready for them) and BOOM 1 day later they've both got Ich. The one is worse than the other. The one has them all over her pectoral fins, and a few on her dorsal and caudal. The other only has a few spots on her dorsal and caudal. The worse off one just sits on the gravel. The other one acts rather normal yet doesn't have full color.

So I need an ich med. Whats a good, easy to use one? I've already upped the temperature and added a good amount of stresscoat.

You could try a salt bath on them till you get the med, one tablespoon to he gal.

I use Protozin, I don't know if its available in your country though.

Like you've done, up the tank temp to speed up the ich's lifecycle as they can only be killed off in the free-swimming stage and keep up the medication as discribed in the literature that came with the medication.

Interpet No 6 - temp up to 80oC - treat as per instructions.

Above advice is good too - I had ich with my rams and the above worked very well and all tankmates survived!

quickcure is so far the strongest ich medicine I found out there. They use one drop per every gallon for all fish but tetra group and for tetra is 1 drop per 2 gallon. while all the other is like man 5ml or something per 10gallon or some time even 5ml per gallon LMAO. So if you want stronge ich medicine quickcure is the way to go. Good luck.
