raising shrimp

I have bought a brine shrimp hatcher and succesfully hatched a couple of batches, with I fed directly to my fish. The next batch I intend to raise to adulthood in a small 5g aquarium I have spare.

If succesful I was wondering whether it is possible to raise ghost shrimp in the same way. Does anyone have any experience with this?

btw can anyone tell me how long brine shrimp can be kept in a 5g tank with no filter?

Sorry to jump in but was about to post same q, I have a 30" x 12" x 12" tank, filtered with around twenty river shrimp (ghost) in. I wanted to breed them so I could feed the juvis to my puffers when they reached the shrimp stage. Had them around a month now and cant see any holding eggs yet.
