I've read in a few places that rainwater can be used in a aquarium.

My tapwaters hard and has high nitrates/phosphates, so i'm thinking about rainwater for an option in my planted tank.

Does anyone know anything about it?

Thanks

Rainwater can be used, it is usually soft and somewhat acidic, is good for South American species. I'd collect it, run some tests to check hardness, etc, and if everything pans out then boil it for a few ticks, let it cool off and pour it in.

yeah i been concidering doing that aswell only problem is it has 2 rain then u gotta boil it all :) so noo good fo big tanks

Generally, people collect it, run it through a carbon filter then, 'cut' it with tapwater.
