Rainbows Agressive?

So i have had my pangasius for about 2 months now and all i ever see in the tank is my 3" rainbowfish chasing him and attacking him! It became so bad that he has had to be put in a isolation chamber for safety( Pangasius) now he just stays clumped up in my floating plants with my rainbow underneath as if hes waiting to attack him. Any HELP?. Ps. My rainbow also stressed my other pangasius so bad that he died.

Do you only have one rainbow? If so that's probably the cause. What type of rainbow is it? It's possible that getting more will diffuse the aggression but that depends on the size of your tank really.

Thanks for the quick reply. yes i only have one rainbow. i think it is a female red rainbowfish and my tank is 110 litres but i am hoping to upgrade to 40gallon soon thanks.

I guess that'd be why then. When you upgrade I'd get her four or five friends. My bosemanis spent most of their time annoying everything else when there was only four of them, added two more and they seem to keep themselves to themselves now.
