I have just fed my Threadfin Rainbowfish their Hikari Micro Pellets and dropped in a quarter algae wafer for the RCS.

10 mins later, I see 5 threadfins sorta fighting/flaring over the shrimps algae wafer and pinching algae wafer food straight from the shrimps!

Is this normal behaviour? In fact I do not know if rainbowfish eat algae normally?

This is the first time I've seen this happening.

Anyone know anything about this sort of thing?

My threadfins are usually pigs at feeding times...........but not on algae though, I've had these fish and RCS for a while and this is the first time I've seen competition for algae wafer between RCS and Threadfins!!!

I remember my angelfish used to pick at the wafers..and my bolivian rams did too in fact:)

Does that mean nothing to worry about?

It won't stress the shrimps out or anything will it, competing for the same algae wafers?
