rainbow she's preggie

hi rainbow is pregnant and is about to drop but i was looking at her earlier and i noticed that she had got a red spot thing on her mouth is this a problem or is it just normal?can anyone help me?

ok sorry i had to rush the other 1 so here's a better description she's a female guppy called rainbow she is due to have some fry i cleaned her mini tank about 11pm today later on about 3pm i spotted that she (i was looking down on her) had a red spot between her lips and her eyes.is this normal or not can anyone help me

Red spot thing on her mouth? Can you possible describe it a little more? Inflammed, swollen, looks like skin is scraped off, can she eat, any other signs?

well as am looking down at her it looks quite painful its not bulging out i'll write back in a minute after i'm going to see if she will eat anything

yep she's eating,she's eating like she normally does

She might have just scraped off some skin, or something. Maybe treat with some Melafix. What are your water parameters, though?

water parametres err well she's not in a proper tank at the minute just a fish bowl because i noticed her spot and took her out of the tank just to make sure because it could of been catchable.

im not sure, but ive heard that red spots around the lips and eyes can be a sign of columnaris (i dont know if i spelled it right)......but you would want to check another source as well because im not quite sure
