Rainbow Shark

my 4 inch rainbow shark lives alone in heavily filtered 20 gallon tank, water conditions are all fine and tank is heated at 76f........the problem is ive noticed a couple of white patches on his body.......they dont seem to be fuzzy, and arent indents either..he seems otherwise healthy. is it possible hes losing color? the tank is in hallway with no natural light but has flourecent light. ive heard of this happening to goldfish who receive no natural light.

Can we also take a look at your stats, white patches can be parasites or bacterial infections, any signs of flicking and rubbing on objects, darting around as though something is irrtatating him, is the fish laboured breathing

If there is no illness or parasites found present, you may need to be feeding the shark more nutritious food. Some water changes, a varied diet and close observation should help to resolve your problems
